With the new iPhone 13 series on the way, Nomad has introduced a new line of cases for the handsets tricked out with NFC chips to enable storing and sharing information with a tap. And in an interesting twist, for once Nomad is offering non-leather goods (at least in one case, so to speak).

Nomad iPhone 13 NFC cases

All of Nomad’s new cases feature NFC technology, which it calls Digital Business Card. It’s not a new thing. You can use it to create and store a digital set of information like your name, phone number, social media handles and more. Then, simply tap the back of your iPhone against another iPhone to share the information with it.

The Sport Case: not leather

The least expensive offering is the Sport Case, available for all four iPhone 13 models. It comes in an array of colors: Black, Lunar Gray, Dune, Ash Green and Marine Blue. Nomad said pre-orders placed now will ship in the latter half of October.

The Sport Case marks Nomad’s first time making an ‌iPhone‌ case not made of leather. (But this company makes everything from leather, even MagSafe Charger covers!) Instead, the company constructs the Sport Case with a scratch-resistant, PET-coated polycarbonate frame, high grip TPE bumpers, metal buttons, and a microfiber interior. It’s compatible with MagSafe.

Modern Leather Case and Modern Leather Folio

If you’re into a traditional leather case, Nomad offers you the Modern Leather Case for ‌iPhone‌. Available for all four models of the ‌iPhone 13‌, it comes in Natural, Rustic Brown, and Black colors.

Nomad said orders placed now will ship later this month. These cases are also ‌MagSafe‌ compatible and feature a substantial 10-foot drop protection.

The Modern Leather Folio for ‌iPhone‌ supports all ‌iPhone 13‌ models and you can get it in Black and Rustic Brown colors. It’s a lot like the Modern Leather Case, but it includes a folio with three card slots and one cash slot. It supports ‌MagSafe‌ and should ship around the third week of September, like the Modern Leather Case.

Price: $39.95 for Sport Case; $59.95 for Modern Leather Case; $79.95 for Modern Leather Folio
