It seems Apple can’t keep a lid on Beats Studio Buds. Celebrities keep getting photographed wearing the not-yet-announced in-ear wireless headphones, and now the launch date has leaked out.

They are still MIA for regular folks to buy. But since they showed up in yet another social media post by a famous athlete, Apple is seemingly playing a calculated long game when it comes to ramping up anticipation.

But the leaks — intentional or not — will stop for good when Beats Studio Buds get unveiled on Wednesday, July 21, according to Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech. Pricing remains unknown, however.

US soccer player Alex Morgan wears unreleased Beats Studio Buds

In a new Instagram post, US soccer player Alex Morgan of the National Women’s Soccer League’s Orlando Pride shows herself wearing the earbuds. This follows a recent post by NBA legend LeBron James, who also teased the new wireless earbuds on Insta.

Interestingly, like LeBron, Alex Morgan doesn’t make any mention of the earbuds in the post. Instead, the Instagram post is a fairly innocuous one showing her child with “her first pair of cowgirl boots.”

The earbuds are there only if you spot them. That makes it pretty subtle by product placement standards although, as evidenced here, people are still picking up on the photo.

The as-yet-unannounced Beats Studio Buds earbuds are more like Beats’ version of AirPods than they are an update on any of the company’s previous products like the PowerBeats headphones. They will reportedly feature “Hey Siri” voice assistant activation, automatic pairing with Apple devices, and noise cancellation.

Update: This article was significantly updated by Ed Hardy when the release date for the Apple product leaked out.
