The Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 12 protects your valuable handset and gives you a place to carry your credit cards and driver’s license. Plus, it looks amazing while doing so.

Here’s why I love this case after using it for several weeks.

Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 12 review

Don’t carry your iPhone around naked. It’s not safe. I truly believe Apple makes its handsets very slim so they can put a protective case on them without bulking up too much. Along with protection, you can add some personal style to your iPhone with a Mujjo leather case.

And, if you’ve gone cashless, this case saves you from having to carry a wallet. While wireless payment systems have nearly made wallets obsolete, you’ll probably still need to cary an Apple Card or something similar, as well as a drivers license. The Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 12 can handle that.

Design

This leather case manages to appear both professional and elegant. And it’ll keep that look. Among the reasons people choose leather is it doesn’t wear out, it wears in. Over time, this Mujjo case will take on a patina that makes it appear even better. This is the fourth case from this company I’ve used, and none of them looked old on the day I retired them to get a new iPhone model. I expect that to be true of the iPhone 12 version many months from now.

Of course, how much the patina shows depends on the case color. There are four to choose from. Mine is Slate Green, and the other options are Tan, Black and Monaco Blue.

As for the design, Mujjo should have stuck the work “slim” somewhere in its product name, because this case fits the iPhone 12 like a glove. It adds hardly anything to the size, and weighs only 1 ounce.

Nevertheless, the case brings a surprising amount of protection. It covers all four corners of the handset, and the edges and buttons, too. Over the years, I’ve dropped an iPhone in a Mujjo leather case any number of times and never had the screen break.

There’s an opening for the camera hump, and the Mujjo leather wallet case doesn’t cover the speakers or the Lightning port. This isn’t a folio case, so the screen is always exposed. That’s not a flaw, but a design choice.

And the case includes a protective, raised ridge around the outside of the iPhone 12 display. Put the handset face down and it doesn’t rest on the screen, but on the case. That really helps reduce scratches.

Wallet pouch

The pouch on the back of the Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 12 is a single flap of leather very expertly stitched on. It has space for two cards. For me, that’s a drivers license and an Apple Card.

Leather stretches, so you can fit in another card, or perhaps a couple of bills. But remember that stretched leather won‘t return to its original shape. Don’t put anything temporarily in this pouch.

No need to be concerned about wireless charging. In my tests, not only does the wallet case not interfere with wireless power, neither does a pair of plastic credit cards. An exception is the aluminum Apple Card. That blocks wireless charging on its own.

Mujjo makes top-quality products, and the Full Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 12 is a prime example. It looks great, adds little to the bulk of the handset, and saves the hassle of carrying a separate wallet.

Plus, the price is something of a surprise for such a well-made product.

Comparable products

A somewhat radical alternative is the Apple Leather Wallet with MagSafe. This isn’t a full case, but a pouch that clings to the iPhone 12 with magnets. It sells for $59.

A truly unique option is the TwelveSouth BookBook, a leather case for people who want their iPhone to look like, well, a book. It wraps all the way around the handset, and has slots for credit cards, drivers license, etc. It’s $69.99.
