Apple is giving Snoopy his own animated comedy. As part of the 70th anniversary of Peanuts, Charlie Brown’s imaginative beagle and his pal Woodstock will be the stars of The Snoopy Show.

Snoopy started out as a regular in Charles M. Schulz’s classic Peanuts comic strip, and made the jump to TV with the rest of the gang over 50 years ago. And now he’s about to get a show focused on his adventures.

As Apple says, “Snoopy is a dog like no other. He may seem a happy-dancin’, bone-lovin’, doghouse-sittin’ beagle but he’s much more than that. He’s also Joe Cool, hippest kid in school, an awesome Surfer King and famed arm-wrestler, the Masked Marvel. When he indulges in his fantasies, he can be a World War One Flying Ace battling the Red Baron or an intrepid astronaut landing on the moon. The point is… Snoopy is a beagle with an active imagination full of comic personas. And they’re all on display — both real and fantastic — in a brand-new animated comedy, The Snoopy Show.”

It’s scheduled to debut in February 2021 on Apple TV+, this company’s streaming video service.

More Peanuts fun on Apple TV+

Apple’s streaming service already has a home for Charlie Brown, Linus, Peppermint Patty and the rest of the Peanuts gang.  The educational show Snoopy in Space debuted in 2019 along with Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10. Both were nominated for Emmy awards for Outstanding Short Format Children’s Program. Peanuts in Space took home the award.
