The Last Campfire joined the ranks of puzzle games on Apple Arcade on Thursday. This is an adventure, but one sweeter and calmer than many, as players help a lost little ember find its way home.

The developer, Hello Games, says “The Last Campfire is an adventure, a story of a lost ember trapped in a puzzling place, searching for meeting and a way home.“ Ember travels through a beautiful wilderness filled with strange creatures and mysterious ruins, looking for hope and a completion for this quest.

Hello Games created a video to demonstrate its latest offering:

This is a single-player game, with versions for Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. One isn’t required, but the game can be played with certain Playstation 4 and Xbox game controllers, and MFi controllers, too.

Play The Last Campfire now on Apple Arcade

New additions to Apple Arcade usually happen on Fridays, but The Last Campfire is already on this gaming service. Playing requires a $4.99-per-month subscription, but that also brings access to 100 other titles. And there are no other costs, as in-app purchases, ads and tricky loot boxes are banned.

Anyone who enjoys this game might try The Lullaby of Life, which debuted on Apple Arcade in July. Or there’s SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit and Loud House: Outta Control.
