Possibly the most spectacular Apple Store yet is set to open in Singapore, Apple’s third retail store in the country.

Apple Marina Bay Sands has a look like no Apple Store before it. It resembles a geodesic dome or giant lantern sitting on a body of water in the iconic Marina Bay, a luxury venue which first opened its doors in 2010.

A message on Apple’s website describes Apple Marina Bay Sands as being located, “at the heart of creativity, a place we’ve made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new. We can’t wait to see where your imagination takes you.”

Apple has yet to reveal exactly when the store will open. However, it describes this as happening “soon.” Apple’s dedicated webpage features a graphical teaser video for the new store. It also offers downloadable wallpaper featuring the specially designed logo for the store: a variation of the regular Apple icon, with the lower half transforming into water ripples.

Apple’s third store in Singapore

Apple Orchard Road, the first Apple Store in Singapore, opened in May 2017. The second one, Apple Jewel Changi Airport, opened its doors in July 2019. Last year, Tim Cook visited the country during an East Asia business tour. As part of the visit, Cook met with local developers.
