Anker has launched its new HomeKit-compatible smart security camera. The EufyCam 2 Pro, exclusive to Best Buy, boasts 2K resolution and free local video storage.

It also carries over the 365-day battery life, on-device human detection software, and “user-friendly interface” of the previous generation EufyCam camera.

The smart camera has both infrared and color night vision, two-way audio, and a 140-degree field of view. There are also customizable app notifications so that you can better control exactly when the camera alerts your iPhone or iPad. In addition to its HomeKit support, EufyCam 2 Pro works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The camera costs $349.99 for a base station and two cameras. You can buy additional cameras for $149.99 each. You’ll also need to make sure you’ve got the appropriate at-home hub, which can be an Apple TV, iPad, or HomePod smart speaker. Finally, you will have to have the iCloud storage plan to support the camera.

Recording the video via Apple’s encrypted HomeKit Secure Video service requires a 200GB iCloud plan, costing $2.99 per month. A 1TB iCloud plan will support up to five cameras. Anker does not charge any additional fee on top of this.
