The Magnetic Wireless Charging Case from Xvida protects your iPhone from drops and blows, but that’s just the start. Magnets set into its back allow it to easily attach to a range of other accessories made by this company. That includes a wireless charger that adds hours of use to the handset.
I’ve tested both the Xvida Magnetic Wireless Charger Portable Battery Pack and the protective case that it pairs with to see how they stand up to real-world use.
Xvida Magnetic Wireless Charging Case for iPhone 11 review
Carrying your iPhone around without a case isn’t wise. It’s as slippery as a fish and horribly expensive to repair if you let it smash down onto concrete. That’s why a protective case is always a good idea.
The Xvida Magnetic Case wraps your iPhone 11 series or XS series handset in a shock-absorbent layer of Thermoplastic Polyurethane. And the TPU has a textured design to make it easy to hold on to.
The case doesn’t add much bulk to the handset. The version for the iPhone 11 weighs a mere 1.6 ounces (0.1 pound), and adds 0.12 inches to the total width and height of the iPhone.

Protection
A “lip” around the handset’s display protects it from scratches if the iPhone is set face down. And a microfiber cloth interior lining makes the back of the device less likely to get scratched by the case.
TPU wraps around the sides, back and corners of the iOS device. They are openings for the camera lenses, speakers, Lighting port, etc. Covers for the buttons don’t affect their use.
Xvida makes no specific claims about drop protection, just saying this item provides a “defense against impact.” And with multiple openings, there’s no question of keeping out liquids. Still, this TPU-and-microfiber sheath bring a reasonable cushion from ordinary bumps and blows.
The Magnetic Wireless Charging Case comes only in basic black. However, Xvida offers silicone cases in a variety of colors. These appear less rugged and protective than the one I’m testing, though.
Set in the back of this iPhone case is a square containing multiple magnets that give this accessory its name. I tested it with the Xvida Magnetic Wireless Charger Portable Battery Pack, but it also works with desk stands, car mounts and charging pads made by this company.
The magnets aren’t strong enough to stick the handset to a metal surface.

Both Apple and Zagg make cases with built-in batteries to recharge an iPhone on the go. Xvida’s answer is a 4000 mAh removable battery that uses magnets to cling to the back of the handset.
The advantage of the Magnetic Wireless Charging Portable Battery Pack is the extra bulk of the power bank isn’t constantly attached to the iPhone. It can be in a bag when not needed. On the other hand, you have to remember to bring the battery with you.
The accessory is 4.4 inches by 2.6 in. and 0.5 in. thick. It weighs 4.6 ounces (0.3 pounds), so it’s not something you’ll want on your iPhone at all times.
But it holds firmly to the Xvida Magnetic Wireless Charging Case when you need to replenish the handset. You can pick up the phone and the battery will stick with it, and vice versa. Using the iPhone while holding both in your hand doesn’t interfere with power flowing from one to the other. But give a tug and the two separate.
This accessory is also designed to be useful at home as a wireless charging mat. Connect the power bank to a wall charger (sold separately) and leave the accessory on your desk to recharge your iPhone at any time.
The exterior of this battery pack matches the black TPU and ridges of Xvida’s iPhone case. And it comes with a black charging cable covered in braided nylon.
There’s a large power button on the front of this accessory. Next to it are four tiny green LEDs to indicate the remaining charge level. There’s also a blue LED that lights when wireless charging is going on.
On the bottom edge of the Xvida Magnetic Wireless Charging Portable Battery Pack is a USB-C port that can only be used to recharge this accessory. Next to it is a USB-A port for powering up other devices.

Performance
This power bank provides 7.5 watts of wireless power. I tested it with a 6.1-inch iPhone 11. In a bit over two hours, it was able to raise the battery level of this handset 71% on one test, and 76% on the second. For many people, that’s another day of use.
Or you can just leave the Magnetic Wireless Charging Portable Battery Pack on the back of the iPhone and the handset will constantly charge.
Over a USB-A connection, not a wireless one, Xvida’s battery gave my iPhone 11 an 84% charge in slightly more than 1.5 hours. So use a cable if that’s an option — it’s faster and more efficient.
While this accessory will only magnetically cling to other Xvida products, it’s nevertheless capable of wirelessly charging other devices.
Xvida Magnetic Wireless Charging Case and Portable Battery Pack final thoughts
On its own, Xvida’s iPhone case offers a reasonable amount of protection for your expensive handset. It’s lightweight and looks good, in a somewhat military way.
And combine it with the Xvida magnetic battery pack and you have a very convenient way to recharge your iPhone on the go.

Comparable products
The rival Mophie Juice Pack Access for iPhone 11 is what Xvida’s case and battery would be if they were combined into a single product. Except Mophie’s offering is more svelte but doesn’t offer as much power.
The same goes for the Apple Smart Battery Case. This is much pricier than Xvida’s, but includes a dedicated camera button.
