Apple seeded the third beta build of iOS 13 and iPadOS to developers this morning, bringing a host of new tweaks and bug fixes to test devices just before the 4th of July break.

iOS 13 beta 3 arrives just over two weeks after Apple dropped the last developer beta. The first iOS 13 public beta came out a week ago. Apple also released the third betas of tvOS 13, watchOS 6 and macOS Catalina today.

Registered developers can download iOS 13 beta 3 and iPadOS beta 3 as an over-the-air update if you have the last beta installed. Those installing the betas for the first time will have to go to Apple’s online developer portal and add the proper installation profile to their device first.

What’s in iOS 13?

iOS 13 and iPadOS are both huge updates for iPhone and iPad. Some of the biggest new features include Dark Mode, speed improvements, improved multitasking, a better Safari browser, photo, and video editing tools, redesigned Reminders app, mouse support on iPad and much more.

Release notes for iOS 13 beta 3 don’t mention any major new additions but we’re sure to find some significant changes once we dive in. iOS 13 beta 2 added new Safari share sheet options, new High Key Mono Lighting and Portrait Lighting Control features, a new contextual menu for Shortcuts, new Animoji styles and more. We’ll let you now what new features we find once we get it on our iPhones and iPads.

All five of the software updates seeded today are set to arrive to the public later this fall.
