The new Apple Watch Series 2 Hermès comes out today and, in addition to bringing us possibly the longest Apple product name in years, we’ve also got a stylish new ad.
In keeping with Apple’s other recent ads, this is more of an arty mood piece than a hard sell, but it gives a few tantalizing glimpses of Apple’s new fashion-conscious watches.

Last year’s Apple Watch Hermès was a big hit for Apple, being voted by trendy lifestyle magazine Wallpaper* as 2015’s “Life Enhancer of the Year” in its annual design awards. The release marked a rare collaboration on the part of Apple with a high-end fashion brand.
According to a Wall Street Journal article, Apple was so keen on the partnership that it even discussed its plans for the Apple Watch before publicly acknowledging the device’s existence. Jony Ive and Hermès execs are said to have reached the deal over lunch in Paris.
If Apple follows its Hermès rollout pattern from last year, the watches will be available in select stores before arriving online in the early part of next year. Later, individual straps will likely be available for existing Apple Watch Series 2 models.
