Good news, Discover credit and debit users! The company today announced that, from this fall, it will enable Apple Pay support across the United States.

This means that Discover customers with a Apple Pay-enabled iPhone or Apple Watch will have the ability to add their card to the mobile payment service — for use in all Apple Pay-accepting retailers.

“As the mobile payments landscape matures, Discover remains committed to giving cardmembers secure options for using their cards and mobile devices,” Discover’s president of payment services, Diane Offereins, said in a statement. “Discover’s focus on simplicity and value for our cardmembers aligns well with the way Apple Pay makes purchases easy and convenient.”

Considering that Apple Pay has only been on the scene since last October, it has done phenomenally well in establishing itself as a payment solution. Earlier this month, the service added ten new participating retail partners inside the United States, bringing its total number of merchants to 68.

With the Apple Watch now finding its way onto the wrists of new customers, Apple has been pushing the mobile payment solution harder than ever: something today’s news will no doubt help with.
