Death Road to Canada is probably my pick for the best game to land in the App Store last year. It’s a weird-ass mashup that should never have worked: an amalgamation of randomly generated zombie survival RPG, action game, text-based interactive fiction game, and homage to the heyday of 8-bit gaming.
Its new FEMUR update makes a great game even better. It adds additional weapon types, five extra trader camps, new character the Barbarian, and a whole lot more. Plus, there’s even more to come.
The Mooseman, a beautifully evocative 2D adventure game, is coming to iOS next month.
Having launched on Steam last year, the game is already a proven winner with players. Boasting a gorgeous wintry palette and plenty of Russian lore thrown in for good measure, The Mooseman puts you in control of a mystical character with the ability to see beyond the physical world. Baseball season is here, and if you’re a fan, we’ve got the perfect game for you! Developers Com2us has returned with the latest installment in their yearly franchise, MLB 9 Innings Baseball 18.
The officially licensed game boasts 3D graphics, all 30 MLB ballparks, up-to-date teams with all 1,700 players, and a new one-handed Arcade Mode, which should make it easier to get your baseball fix on the go. Check out the game’s two trailers below.
Apple has made it easier to update apps and games purchased from foreign App Stores in iOS 11.3. Users no longer have to switch to the App Store they originally downloaded the title from, making the update process a whole lot quicker.
Fortnite, the hottest game of 2018, is finally available on iOS for everyone to download, no invite code needed.
The game has been in beta on iOS the last few weeks and required a special invite code to get in on the battle royal action. Now anyone with an iPhone SE or later can get in on the action anywhere you have an internet connection.

The makers of the excellent 2014 game Leo’s Fortune are back with a new action platformer, and this time they’re shifting their their focus from the cartoony world of Leo, which looked like it came straight out of a Pixar movie, to something based on Viking and Norse mythology.
While the game won’t arrive until later this spring, the developers just dropped a trailer for Oddmar — and it looks kind of awesome, with all the graphical gorgeousness we’d expect. Check it out below.

Unlike it’s console big brother, however, this isn’t a direct port of Tekken in the style of, say, Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition. Instead, it’s a simpler card-based “swipe fighter” game reminiscent of a title like the mobile version of Injustice 2. Check out a couple of videos below.
Alto’s Odyssey, the long-awaited follow up 2015’s brilliant Alto’s Adventure endless snowboarding game has finally arrived in the App Store — one day ahead of schedule.
The new game in the series transports the action to a dessert sandboarding setting, and adds new elements including wall rides, vortexes that will propel you through the air, and aerial obstacles such as hot air balloons that you can propel yourself off. Check out the trailer below.
Everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog (we guess he kind of wins this one by default!) Sonic the Hedgehog makes an unexpected, unlikely cameo on the latest update of Pac-Man for iOS — and it’s kind of awesome.

Feral Interactive has announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will be making its way to Mac sometime this spring.
The critically acclaimed title stars everyone’s favorite tomb-raiding adventurer Lara Croft, now with slightly more realistic proportions. It was originally released for Xbox in late 2015, while the 20 Year Celebration special edition landed on PlayStation 4 in October 2016.

In news that’s worthy of celebration, Nintendo says that Mario Kart Tour, a new instalment in its crazy popular kart racing franchise, is coming to iOS.
In a tweet, Nintendo said that, “The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near.” However, it’s not revealing exactly when the game will be speeding into the App Store — other than that it will be in the “fiscal year ending in March 2019.”
