Even before the COVID-19 pandemic changed how employers and employees operate, remote work had become increasingly prevalent. By 2016, 43% of the U.S. workforce worked from home at least to some extent, according to Gallup. The pandemic added millions more and might tilt the balance toward remote work permanently.

So, now more than ever, organizations large and small must figure out how to manage, connect and secure all devices their staff members use, in workplaces and remotely. For enterprises that prefer to have iPhones, Macs and iPads in the mix, effective Apple Enterprise Management is crucial.

Videos are a part of our daily lives, whether for blasts of knowledge or pure entertainment. But while we rely on them for work and pleasure, the file formats of some videos can present a problem. For example, the increasingly popular WebM video format — which was designed for the web, as you probably guessed from its name — doesn’t work on all devices.

If you need to convert WebM to MP4 or another widely used audio or video format, conversion tools are your friend. However, you should choose a video converter wisely. You want a user-friendly app that can change the video format within a few minutes.

5 easy tips to prepare your iPhone 12 Pro for selling

Get your iPhone 12 ready for resale.
Here is how to get your used iPhone 12 ready to sell and get the most value out of it.
Photo: Apple

This post is brought to you by Gadget Salvation.

So you decided to part with your iPhone 12 Pro. And naturally, you want to get the best possible offer for it. Whether it has signs of use or is in pristine condition, iPhone 12 Pro is the newest smartphone model, and therefore has great resale value.

But before you go and get rid of it, there are a few things that must be done to actually make your iPhone 12 Pro sellable. For example, getting rid of your personal information, removing it from iCloud, resetting, etc.

Below, we will share how to prepare your used iPhone 12 Pro for sale in five easy steps.

Prepare your iPhone for resale

1. Back up

In order to properly back up your iPhone, you can rely on a cloud service like iCloud or Dropbox, or back it up on your computer to easily restore all your sensitive information once you get a new phone. You can also use an external hard drive to save your pictures, videos, documents and many other files.

To back up your iPhone using iCloud, you’ll need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, open Settings, tap on your name and then iCloud. Scroll down and opt for Back Up Now.

2. Sign out of your accounts

Once you back up your iPhone, the next thing to do is to sign out of all your linked accounts. This will not only prevent unauthorized access to your accounts, but also will allow the new owner to set up the phone with their own information. Log out of your iTunes, iMessage, iCloud and Apple Music accounts.

3. Unpair Apple Watch and AirPods

If you own an Apple Watch and AirPods, make sure to unpair them. To unpair your Apple Watch, open the Watch app on your iPhone. Go to the My Watch tab and select your watch from the menu. Then tap on the info button and tap Unpair Apple Watch. As for your AirPods, launch the Settings app, then tap Bluetooth. Tap the info icon next to your AirPods and select Forget This Device.

4. Turn off Find My

If you forget to deactivate the Find My feature before selling your iPhone, the next owner will not be able to use the phone. Therefore, it is essential to complete this step to avoid headaches in the future. To do that, go to the Settings app, tap on your name. Then tap Find My iPhone and toggle the setting to off. Please note that you will be asked to enter your Apple ID password one last time.

5. Wipe and erase your iPhone data

Once the previous steps are completed, you can proceed to erase your iPhone 12 Pro. Once again, open up the Settings app, tap on General and then Reset. Because you already logged out of your accounts and removed your passcodes, there is no other information to enter. Simply tap Erase All Content and Settings to initiate the process.  Also, don’t forget to remove your SIM card, as you will likely need it for your next phone.

iPhone 12 Pro trade-in value

Released in late 2020, the iPhone 12 Pro is still fairly a new model. Apple sold a lot of them — the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are the best-selling smartphones in the world. However, that means there is an abundance of choice on the iPhone reselling market right now, and that the iPhone 12 is likely to lose some of its dollar value in the near future. Perhaps sellers won’t feel the impact just yet, as iPhones historically hold great resale value.

Here are some examples of what you can receive, depending on the condition and storage size for your used iPhone 12 Pro.

*Priced on 04/13/2021. Subject to frequent revision.

Where to sell iPhone 12 Pro?

Whether you’re looking to sell iPhone 12 Pro or any other device, Gadget Salvation is the great option to do just that. They offer fast, easy and convenient service, but most importantly, a competitive price. Gadget Salvation will even pay for shipping. In conclusion

Selling your used iPhone 12 Pro is not that difficult and can turn out to be a profitable venture, when you follow the steps discussed in this article. To get the most value out of your used gadget, make sure to carefully prepare it for sale, and of course, find the right company or a marketplace to do it with. And whether you are looking to sell your used iPhone, or simply want to get a quick price estimate, Gadget Salvation is a great place for that.
