Yahoo CEO sends “So Long I Was Fired” message from iPad

By

carol

An Apple-related tidbit from the Carol Bartz-Yahoo saga that perhaps confirms the iPad’s dominance with corner office types. Her 42-word message about getting fired as CEO (over the phone, ouch) this afternoon ends with the “Sent from my iPad” signature.

Here it is, in its entirety:

To all,

I am very sad to tell you that I’ve just been fired over the phone by Yahoo’s Chairman of the Board. It has been my pleasure to work with all of you and I wish you only the best going forward.

Carol

Waiting for the same from Larry Page :P

I don’t really get how this is news…. Other than she was fired. Yahoo does not make “tablets”, so it’s not like the CEO of samsung sent a message from iPad.

I Want Yahoo! Emoticons in my iPhone keyboard…instead of those ugly Emoji….

Steve Ballmer, hope you are next.

No.  SB for as long as it takes!

Took them long enough! Yahoo’s a dud! You don’t hear anyone saying “Yahoo it”!

Nope, no, no…we love Steve Ballmer on…no one else can kill Microsoft the way he can
and so long he is a Microsoft is all good news for MACS…long live Ballmer

Indeed. Steve Ballmer is awesome. Microsoft’s worst enemies could not have wished for anything better than that utter buffoon to be running the company.

Wow. Not a single curse word. I’m impressed, CB. Although I’m sure the undocumented phone conversation was much more…colorful.

Great news. Truly fantastic job for posting this…

Microsoft offered $45 billion to Yahoo, a company in decline. Yahoo did
not take it. Microsoft increased the bid by $5 billion. Yahoo did not
take it. Today Yahoo’s market cap is $16.9 billion.

Yahoo’s board made a $33 billion dollar mistake that gets worse every day. They should fire THEMSELVES.

I have to agree. While I’m not upset by the loss of this woman cause Yahoo has not gone well under her direction, calling this Mac news or even Apple news is thin.

But then again, this is the direction that CoM has taken in the last few months. What was once an awesome news and tips site above all that nonsense has become yet another hit foddering gossip site that drops in the token ‘real’ story to try to back up claims that they aren’t like all the others.
