The 4-inch iPhone SE may not be the go-to choice of users wanting to get their hands on Apple’s premium handsets, but they’ve proven immensely popular in developing markets where they’ve been causing a major headache for Chinese makers of low-cost phones.
With that in mind, it’s no surprise to hear that Xiaomi — a company not exactly not for its reluctance to rip off Apple’s ideas — is rumored to be developing a smaller-sized smartphone aimed at taking back some of the ground it’s lost to the iPhone SE.
Called the Xiaomi Mini, the rumored handset reportedly boasts a 4.3-inch display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and runs on Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, like the one used in the LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and Xiaomi Mi 5.
It is also said to sport a 13MP rear camera, Touch ID-style fingerprint sensor, 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. There’s no word on exactly when it will arrive, but at a time when certain critics seem to be unduly worried that Apple has lost its innovative edge, it seems to be another example of how Cupertino is still the “go to” model other manufacturers are keen to follow.
Should this rumor turn out to be true, does anyone want to wager whether or not it’ll come in gold?

Does “Xiaomi” mean “Shameless” in Chinese? If not, it should.
It means “little dick”. LOL
The rabid fanboys on this site are the angriest I’ve seen lol. I’m sorry, I almost forgot that they’re a cult.
Can you name something original from Xiaomi, or do you simply attack everything written in support of Apple? Try composing an actual argument that’s based on facts rather than swinging blindly like you do.
I think he is just trolling on you. Xiaomi rose up from copying Apple and other Android devices.
Xiaomi has zero original thought into their product and exists purely to copy a successful product and sell it to sheep for a profit. Nobody will ever care about Xiaomi.
