The Underdogs return in BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) short film
Cult of Mac and others make videos explaining how to use Apple gear. These are useful, but no one would call them “wacky good fun.” But that description does fit Apple’s Underdogs series. Rather than simply describing how Macs, iPhones, Apple Watches, etc., can help people do their jobs, the plucky members of the Underdogs go on zany adventures where their Apple devices always save the day.
The new BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) Underdogs video highlights the security advantages of Macs when all the PCs at a trade show fall victim to a malware attack.
As Apple says:
“The Underdogs are ready for their first-ever trade show until a PC outage strikes and the Blue Screen of Death threatens their beloved Container Con. Thanks to the security of their Apple products, the Underdogs are unaffected and experience extraordinary success. See how the magic of Mac, iPhone, and iPad comes together to help the Underdogs meet potential clients, bag new business, and even lend a hand to a fellow packaging company.”

Return of the Underdogs
The Underdogs starred in several previous videos that demonstrated Apple gear being used in real-world situations. As the characters have a wide range of personality quirks, the videos mix in humor with the education.
Their last video, OOO Out of Office, showed the Underdogs using Apple gear on a business trip in Thailand. (Apple pulled that video after Thai people complained that it made them look bad.)
Before that came Swiped Mac, which demonstrated MacBooks’ antitheft features, and The whole working-from-home thing, which showed Apple devices being used during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first Underdogs video showed them creating a circular pizza box under challenging conditions. With, of course, the help of Apple tech.
