External iPhone batteries don’t have to be cumbersome — several very slim power banks debuted at CES 2026. Clip one of these to the back of your handset, and you’ll add hours of use without adding too much bulk.
Sleek new models from BMX, ESR and Baseus went on display at the giant trade show going on this week in Las Vegas.
Slim iPhone power banks: Fast, convenient charging
Ultra-slim power banks slip easily into a pocket or bag, so they’re far more comfortable to carry every day than traditional chunky batteries. And they attach magnetically to the iPhone for converting charging.
Despite their compact size, they deliver fast wireless charging, providing a quick boost when your phone is running low without tethering you to a wall outlet. This makes them especially useful for travel, commuting, events or long workdays, where discreet, on-the-go power is more valuable than maximum capacity.
BMX SolidSafe Air
The standout design of the latest iPhone power banks is a pair in the new BMX SolidSafe Air series — they’re a mere 6.8 mm thick.
Plus, they use a semi-solid-state chemistry, not fully liquid electrolytes like traditional lithium batteries. That decreases the risk of swelling or ignition and allows for the very sleek design.
Both models in the BMX SolidSafe Air line feature 5,000 mAh of power, Qi2 charging and a titanium-copper alloy casing. One adds a full-color LCD and integrated stand. The other uses simple status LEDs.
These iPhone power banks are scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced.
ESR MagSlim Power Bank

Despite being a mere 13.8 mm thick, the ESR MagSlim Power Bank stores 10,000 mAh. And thanks to the new Qi2.2 wireless charging standard, the MagSlim supports up to 25W wireless charging and is optimized for Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup, delivering power automatically when magnetically attached. It is positioned as the thinnest Qi2-certified 25W power bank currently available.
ESR previewed the MagSlim Power Bank at CES 2026, but stopped short of announcing a price or release date.
Baseus PicoGo AM52 Qi2.2 Power Bank
Another slim new external battery option for iPhone users is the Baseus PicoGo AM52 Qi2.2 Power Bank. It supports up to 25W wireless charging alongside 45W fast charging over USB-C.
Baseus says the device uses its Triple-Loop Cooling technology, which the company claims keeps the power bank operating about 12% cooler than similar Qi2.2 models and limits surface temperatures to under 102°F, a design choice intended to support more consistent performance during high-speed charging.
It is scheduled to be available in Q1 2026. The price was not announced at CES 2026.
