When you’re flying down the road on a bicycle at night, visibility could mean the difference between life and death at the hands of an automobile driver.
Volvo has designed what it’s calling Life Paint as a way for cyclists to protect themselves on the road, but the spray’s other use cases are potentially just as interesting.
The spray comes in a can that is OK to apply on just about anything. It’s invisible in the daylight, but at night the binding of its particles causes an unmistakable glow under headlights.
Bicyclists obviously benefit from Life Paint, but how else it’s used will be determined as people get their hands on it. Raves, for instance, could never be the same.
Life Paint is available for sale in a few London stores, and you can sign up for updates on Volo’s website to know when you can buy it elsewhere.

what’s ridiculous is that it wears off in a few days. they expect you to keep re-applying it over and over again.
or you could just put clear sealer over it once.
I think I’d rather have a permanent solution than a temporary “Spray On”. If they want me to have reflectives, I’ll search LED Bicycle.
The last link on this article is misspelling “sign up for updates on Volo’s websiteRead more”. Volvo’s not Volo’s
Wow! You found a typo.
Thank you!
