Sources: Apple May Open New Retail Store In NYC’s Grand Central Terminal

What better way to bide your time waiting for that institutionally late Amtrak than loitering in an Apple Store? Such seems to be the thinking in Cupertino, as sources now indicate that Apple wants to open a brand new Apple Store right in the heard of New York City’s Grand Cental Terminal.

The move to open more NYC real estate is highly conjectural at this point, with only source reports to go by. If Apple were to want to open a shop in Grand Central Terminal, they would be expected to go through a public process of proposal submission, and there’s scarcely a ream of paperwork to be found in that regard yet. Even at Apple, this is still just a glimmer in some executive’s eye.

That said, an Apple Store at the Grand Central Terminal makes a lot of sense, allowing the new retail location to service a steady and voluminous flow of white-collar commuters and shoppers. Whether it would be a twenty four hour store or not, like the 5th Avenue shop, is also unknown at this point, but if Apple were to open another always-open retail locale, there’s worse places to do so.
