You won’t have to buy the most expensive iPhone to get the best camera Apple makes in 2017.
Apple is reportedly planning to include a dual-lens camera on two different iPhone models, according to one of the most accurate Apple analysts that also predicts three different models will be announced next year.
[contextly_auto_sidebar] KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told investors in a note today that two-thirds of the iPhone lineup will boast a dual-lens camera. But the 4.7-inch iPhone model won’t get the feature.
Three different iPhones
Kuo claims Apple will release two variants of the 5.5-inch iPhone in 2017. One will pack an OLED screen. The other version and the 4.7-inch model will have a legacy TFT-LCD display, but only the 5.5-inch units will have a dual-lens camera.
Between 65 and 75 percent of new iPhones shipped in 2017 will have dual-lens cameras, according to Kuo’s estimates. He thinks customers will be lured to the larger size by the improved camera.
Releasing two version of the iPhone 7s Plus (or whatever it’s called) sounds like an odd move for Apple though. Some analysts predicted Apple would make three versions this year, with the high-end model being the only one with the dual-lens camera. That didn’t happen, so take Kuo’s prediction with a hearty dose of skepticism.
Next year will be the tenth anniversary for the iPhone and the rumor mill is already spitting out some interesting theories. Rumors have claimed the next iPhone will feature a curved-glass display. The body will supposedly have a glass front and back with a metal band connecting the two sides.

Sigh, this is the one thing that bothers me and hopefully this won’t be the case. Apple give us the features you can please. Not everyone wants a huge ass phone. I can understand screen size and battery life being differences but c’mon give us the dual cameras on the 4.7!
