Nomad launched updated versions of its Stand One and Stand One Max wireless chargers Tuesday, bringing support for the new Qi2.2 standard. It enables 25W fast charging for compatible iPhones. The upgrade matches the charging speeds of Apple’s latest MagSafe chargers and represents a significant improvement over the 15W charging supported by previous Qi2 models.

Nomad Stand One Qi2.2 chargers launched

Along with iPhone cases, Apple Watch bands and other accessories, Nomad makes the sleek and popular device chargers Stand One (2-in-1) and Stand One Max (3-in-1), both now brought up to the speedy Qi2.2 charging standard. Both chargers feature Nomad’s premium construction with solid metal blocks and glass tops, finished with a full rubberized base pad for a sturdy grip. And their approximately 20-degree charging angle works well across various settings, from bedside tables to office desks, Nomad said.

So the fourth-generation Stand One, priced at $119, features Nomad’s signature design combining CNC-machined aluminum with glass. At 575 grams (1.2 pounds), the charger provides a stable base that stays firmly in place. The new model adds a second wireless charging pad tucked behind the angled phone support. That lets users charge AirPods or other Qi-compatible wireless earbuds at 5W while simultaneously fast-charging an iPhone at 25W.

Both iPhone charging orientations are supported — portrait and landscape — with landscape mode enabling StandBy functionality. The charger includes a 2-meter braided USB-C cable. But users need to supply their own 40W or higher USB-C power adapter.

3-in-1 Stand One Max powers up iPhone, Airpods and Apple Watch

The Stand One Max, priced at $159, builds on the Stand One’s features by adding an Apple Watch fast charger. This creates a complete three-in-one charging solution for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods.

Weighing 875 grams, the Stand One Max continues the design improvements introduced in the third generation. It relocated the Apple Watch charger to the base. The change resolved previous limitations that prevented simultaneous horizontal iPhone charging and Apple Watch charging.

The wireless earbud charging pad sits in an indent behind the vertically-mounted Apple Watch charger, supporting 5W charging for most Qi-compatible cases.
