Keeping up with the latest charging standards, Nomad released the third generation of its premium Stand One Max multi-device charger Wednesday. It features support for the new Qi2 wireless charging protocol, which enables up to 15-watt wireless charging speeds for compatible iPhones and Androids. And the luxe 3-in-1 stand keeps your iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods going in style.

In addition to expanded wireless charging, the updated Stand One Max maintains Nomad’s signature high-quality metal and glass design, but with some key improvements over the previous model. Most notably, the company reworked the placement of the Apple Watch charger. It’s now situated on the base of the stand rather than in a floating position. This allows iPhone users to take advantage of the device’s useful StandBy mode, which provides glanceable information like the time and weather while the iPhone is charging in landscape orientation.
Nomad also addressed previous complaints about the Apple Watch charger’s positioning, which caused compatibility issues with larger watch models like the Apple Watch Ultra. The revised design should ensure a more centered, stable charging experience for all Apple Watches. (It works with Apple Watch’s Nightstand mode.)
Beyond the iPhone and Apple Watch, the Stand One Max can also wirelessly charge a set of AirPods at up to 5W. And with its solid metal construction and rubber base, the charger provides a stable, premium platform for your Apple devices.
Nomad Stand One Max Qi2 features:
- 3-in-1 charging hub
- 15W charging for Qi2 and MagSafe devices
- Apple Watch Fast Charger
- Supports iPhone StandBy mode
- AirPods Qi charging spot
- Solid metal and glass design
- 2.0m USB-C to USB-C cable included
- Requires 30W USB-C Power Adapter (not included)
A solid central pillar of a Mac user’s charging arsenal
For Mac users invested in the Apple ecosystem, the new Stand One Max seems like a worthy upgrade or replacement for their multi-device charging needs. The combination of Qi2 technology, improved ergonomics and a more affordable price point make this latest iteration from Nomad a compelling option to consider.
Another welcome change is the lower price tag. Despite the addition of Qi2 support, the new Stand One Max sells for $150. That’s a $30 discount from the previous generation. You can buy in at Nomad now and probably on Amazon soon.
