Like blades on a disposable razor, there can never be enough ports on a USB hub. At least, that seems to be the thinking behind Satechi’s 7-port USB 3.0 monster, a wedge-shaped desktop hub made for Mac users.
The Premium Aluminum Hub will of course work with any computer, but it is clearly designed to match your Apple aluminum keyboard and magic trackpad, complete with a fake cylindrical battery chamber at the back.
The hub is powered, and has the same annoying blue LED that seems to be compulsory on any and every peripheral these days, put there in order to tattoo my dreams with distressing J.J Abrams-style lens flare effects (my bedroom is filled with humming computer equipment — the warmth and the gentle buzzing help me sleep at night).
The price for this handsome hub is $70, or $10 per slot. That’s cheaper than a toaster!

A white power cord would have been nice…but overall, looks good.
I wonder why they dont show it sitting on that desk with 7 USB cables plugged into it?
the blue led kill’s it for me… maybe if it were white and tiny?.. nah.. prefer no leds!
that’s horrible design.
I think it will look good on the base of the iMac stand; attached with 3M tape of course.
The website shows it here:
