The crazy iPhone 6 launch lines around the world are finally shortening up as the first wave of customers take their shiny new devices home. We’re back at the Cult of Mac Headquarters getting intimate with our big and bigger iPhones, but we were curious which iPhone 6 model you bought.

Many of us here went with the 6 Plus – because bigger is definitely better – but a few staffers are loving their smaller iPhone 6 screens. Vote in the poll above and then tell us why you made your choice in the comments.

Adding storage sizes to the poll would be a good idea.

    • RF9 says:

I’d like that to be a separate poll. Just capacity (no models.) 3 choices 16, 64, 128. Though I think on a site like this those would be skewed. 16 is going to mostly be bought by the less informed consumer that just walks in to get a phone moreso than readers who’ll know to get 64 or 128.

      • PMB01 says:

Those buying the 16GB likely can’t afford the extra $100. It’s not really about being informed at all. Don’t be a dick.

      • RF9 says:

That’s not at all necessarily true. I know plenty of people that got the 8GB phones in the past because they were first time iPhone buyers and just don’t know they need more or weren’t really presented with the option of higher capacity or a reading to get one. People in their 30s and 40s that just don’t pay attention to tech,
I’m not being a dick (actually you are.). Not everyone out there is a tech or phone nerd that knows all about phones. You certainly won’t find those people here as they have better things to do with their time.

      • PMB01 says:

And not every “tech or phone nerd” has an extra $100 to put toward their phone. Some of us actually have more important things to spend money on. You’re still the dick.

      • RF9 says:

I’m not a dick but you’re ignorant and an a-hole.

      • PMB01 says:

Says the person who doesn’t understand budgeting (or spelling). Come back when you have a valid argument.

      • RF9 says:

You can shell out $200-$650 plus $600-$1200 a year for a phone service and you can’t afford another $100 as an informed consumer? And yet you say I don’t understand budgeting.
        (shakes head)
I learned long ago that being cheap up-front is more costly later on.
A good evening to you sir.
If you want a valid argument, don’t start with insults.

      • PMB01 says:

Yep, you simply don’t understand that most of this country is lower to lower-middle class and we can’t fit a $100 storage upgrade into our budget, no matter how much we know about phones. My 16GB 5S has served me well and there’s been no “more costly later on”. In fact, 99% of the iPhones that I’ve come in contact with are 16GB models, including all of my friends that knowingly picked them because they weren’t willing to spend the extra $100.

Valid arguments don’t start with you being an elitist douchebag. Try again.

      • Tim Clayton says:

if 100 extra dollars is too much money, then getting an iPhone on launch day (or ever) is a pretty irresponsible budgetary decision.

      • PMB01 says:

Or ever? You don’t understand how budgets work either.

      • Tim Clayton says:

iphones are luxury items. Even if like me you consider phones or smartphones a necessity, there are much better options out there if price is a concern.

      • PMB01 says:

Much better options? Nope. The iPhone (which is as much a luxury as ANY smartphone) has the best hardware and OS in a package. That experience is a bigger part of the decision for most people, including myself, and something we are willing to pay for. Price mainly comes into consideration when choosing the amount of storage.

No other smartphone can match the reliability and OS experience of the iPhone. Having had a high-end Android as my first smartphone, I know that to be 100% true. Having a phone I can rely on is priority number one.

      • Some Guy says:

WTF are you talking about? It’s a phone, not a mode of transportation or life support system. I have had an LG and Samsung PHONE that I can rely on and neither would be considered “high-end”. There has NEVER been a situation where my phone did not work except for low or no signal. This would affect an iPhone as well.

The phone, browser, camera, gps and apps have ALWAYS worked. This makes it 100% reliable and costs half the price. Maybe the OS designed for ONE specific device is a bit better but only a fool would spend 100% more money for a phone that has a 20% to 30% better OS. (30% is being generous) It is clearly a luxury item, if you have the luxury to afford one.

Apple zealots are such bigots and behave like anything else is utterly unacceptable. It’s just ridiculous…

      • PMB01 says:

Oh look, an Android fanboy. You have no clue what you’re talking about. Only a fool would give credibility to anything you say. Luckily, I’m a rational person. Good luck with that!

      • Some Guy says:

LOL, a rational person? To say “No other smartphone can match the reliability” is obviously irrational when I have proven that another phone can be 100% reliable. That does not make me a fanboy, it just makes me realistic, regardless what type of phone or OS you use. Clearly you are the only fanboy bigot here…

      • PMB01 says:

More ad hominem. You clearly don’t know what “bigot” means (or fanboy, for that matter). Keep prattling on if you must. You’ve proved absolutely nothing.

      • Some Guy says:

Of course I know what it means, do you? Bigotry is a state of mind where a person strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc.
You are against people like Myself, RF9 and Tim Clayton because we don’t agree that an iPhone is the best option for the world. Even “idontcare bro” thinks you are obnoxious. Do you not see a pattern forming? You are the problem!

Your behaviour proves this exactly as you strongly and unfairly dislike anything that is not Apple or iPhone. I have nothing to prove, you do it for me…

      • PMB01 says:

        “unfairly”
That’s where it fails miserably. I’m not “against” anybody. Get off your high horse and quit preaching that BS. You do nothing but prove the stereotype of blind Apple-haters.

      • Some Guy says:

Actually, you are against everybody! Read your own posts! With over 800 posts, most of them spew hate and insults to anyone who disagrees with you. In your opinion, nobody knows what they’re talking about except you. People who disagree with you are considered dumb, assholes, idiotic, ugly and are talking out of their ass. Anybody can read these posts and see it’s true.

No high horse or BS here, only logic and facts. Fact is, you are just a bully and degrade people to make yourself feel better. I don’t hate Apple but only suggest that other options are 100% reliable. Your brain washed belief that “No other smartphone can match the reliability” is what is truly blind. Sadly, you are just too blind to see it.

      • PMB01 says:

Oh look, more BS. Keep thinking you know me. You don’t know squat. You’re seeing what you want to see in my posts. Just quit before you make yourself look like more of an ass.

      • Some Guy says:

Oh look, you’re doing it again. I don’t need to know you, you reveal your true self as you spew your hate and bigotry toward others. Look around, you are at “Cult” of Mac. By definition the word carries derogatory connotations. Basically a social group with deviant and novel beliefs and practices.

It’s just a name for the website but you have actually deviated from normal belief and practice. Most people come here for a single article of interest but you live here with over 800 posts of hate and sarcasm. A derived sense of “excessive devotion” makes you intolerant to all that oppose you and your blind faith.
I don’t know squat? Even the FACTS are considered BS if you don’t agree but you can’t deny what you have said in your posts. It’s nothing that “I’m seeing” or “want to see”, it’s there for the world to see. You attempt to make others look like an ass but really should look in the mirror.

      • PMB01 says:

Nope, you’re still quite the ass. I’m here because I care to read about Apple products and news. You’re here to hide in anonymity so you can vomit your hate over whoever you want, regardless of the actual facts. You’ve yet to prove me wrong on anything. Just calm down and go back under your bridge.

      • Some Guy says:

Oh look, the same sarcastic response. You’re so creative. Of course I have proved you wrong. To say “No other smartphone can match the reliability” is wrong. Lots of phones are as reliable but you refuse to admit it. I can also rely on the fact that my phone won’t bend when I put it in my pocket. BendGate anyone…

Apple shares are down nearly 4% Thursday, wiping out nearly $23 billion in market value. The new devices have faced criticism and widespread ridicule over their bendability. Am I vomiting hate? NO, these are actual FACTS and can be found all over the internet, news and social media right now.

I am perfectly calm but the FACT that you are wrong is what causes you to spew insults with such hate and sarcasm. If you were right, you would be busy gloating. You just can’t stand it when others are correct so you use insults as a defense.

      • chaos says:

hey bro, i earn fuck all and we don’t have to pay anything upfront in australia. only costs me $4 extra a month to go from 64gb to my 128gb 6 plus. schwing!

      • PMB01 says:

Good for you. We’re talking about the US, Apple’s largest market.

      • idontcare bro says:

        obnoxious and a knob head!

      • PMB01 says:

        Only making your case worse.

  2. Fred Flintstone says:

I didn’t . . . I was promised an AT&T phone today. It never arrived. They say the order is “pending” after promising delivery today. I’m furious and really ticked. Stayed home all day waiting for delivery.

    • Dario Sycco says:

      !!Nerdrage!!

    • 2oh1 says:

If I were you, I’d get in my foot-powered car and head over to prehistoric AT&T to complain, but I’d stop for a side of brontosaurus ribs along the way, although that would probably flip the car on its side… so maybe it’s best to skip the ribs.

    • stanhope says:

Well that’s not as terrible as SPRINT….they just outright LIE. Told me launch day delivery and now mid-October but “we can’t make any promises.” Well when did you get salvation and stop promising? Oh that’s right, AFTER I gave my credit card. Hell has a special place for SPRINT though the reception will probably not get a call through for water.

  3. Stood in line at 3:45 AM, got in the AT&T Store at 8:00 AM to find out they only had 4, 64 GB Gold iPhone 6 Plus. I was very happy they didn’t have a 128 GB in Space Gray and got a 128 GB iPhone 6. The PLUS is flipping HUGE. As a video producer I really wanted to get the Plus, but just couldn’t carry that monster.

  4. josephz2va says:

Preordered mine based on what at&t suggested. I said plus and they suggested 64 GB space gray.

  5. Michael Pollock says:

Knew I wanted an iPhone 6 with 128 GB of storage. Wanted Space Gray. All they had was gold. Well, it’s not THAT gold… :) Love the phone.

  6. kangoljas1 says:

    6 Plus space gray 128GB

  7. Craig says:

shit subtract 1 iPhone 6 off there oopps !

  8. AKC322 says:

I upgraded to an iPhone 5S. Couldn’t be happier.

  9. Sean Williams says:

I got a regular 6. I am not loving the size. Just feels too big to me. Hoping I get used to it.

  10. I never got it. But all the fucking scalpers and line rushers in front of me sure got their two each. Maybe I’ll get lucky and they will get hit by a bus in front of me…who knows. God…. Apple really needs to take care of this scum.

  11. William Donelson says:

    iPhone 5S 32GB, where do I vote?

  12. SgtFire says:

I ordered the 64GB 6+ silver and white in the store a few days ago. Flipping November is expected delivery! Oh well, patience is a virtue? Sounds good, I’ll go with that.

  13. tHoj101 says:

Space Grey iPhone 6 128GB. Cloud services are great but I’ll have thousands of photos on my iPhone at any given time, and I needed room for music to replace having to use my retina mini. Can’t believe I even found one after not getting off work and to the mall until 8pm. After calling nearly 25 cellphone retailers in my area and getting a ‘sold out’ response on every call I managed to track one down at a small kiosk run by mildly attractive woman all wearing pink, and struggling to work the cash register. It was a pretty good day.
