The Plugable 15.6” USB-C Portable Display connects to MacBook or iPad to add more screen space and a hub: it includes a pair of high-speed USB-C ports.
It’s intended for those who need to get loads of work done while on the go, whether from a hotel room or a coffee shop.

Studies show external monitors increase productivity. And that should be even more true when they increase the number of available USB-C ports.

The Plugable 15.6” USB-C Portable Display includes a 1920-by-1080-pixel Full HD IPS display that runs at a 60Hz refresh rate. Its developer promises 170° viewing angles and a brightness of 300 nits.
Doubles down on USB-C
The external monitor does not have, nor does it need, an HDMI port. Instead, it connects to a Mac or iPad via USB-C. It can even connect to an iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 series model.
Even better, the design sports two downstream 10Gbps USB-C ports for connecting additional accessories. These can be external drives, or perhaps a keyboard and trackpad. Plus the device supports 85W pass-through charging on one of the ports.
The built-in hub makes this device well suited for MacBook Air users who have access to only two USB-C ports, or iPad users that have just one.
The external display weighs under 2 pounds, and comes bundled with a detachable and foldable cover that doubles as a stand.
