The next big update for OS X El Capitan is nearing completion with the release of OS X 10.11.1 beta 3 to developers and registered public beta testers.
OS X 10.11.1 build 15B30a comes just over a week since the last El Capitan beta was released. It’s available in the Apple Developer Center, as well as through the Software Update option in the Mac App Store.
Previous beta builds of OS X 10.11.1 brought some small new features, like an expanded emoji character set with icons for burrito, spider, unicorn, golfing, a middle finger and much more. Other additions include numerous bug fixes and performance enhancements.
The release notes for OS X 10.11.1 beta 2 don’t mention any major additions, but does ask developers to focus on Mail and
Microsoft Office 2016. The notes also mention that the update will improve the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.

I should add that will all the beta testers they has over the summer months that they sure didn’t find some of the more blaring ones
I hope this fixes the Outlook issue that is preventing me from upgrading
Thats Microsofts issue, not Apples. Write to them.
Then why would Apple want developers to focus on “Microsoft Office 2016”, as claimed by this article?
You just answered your own stupid question. If you’re suggesting Apple has to code THEIR Operating System AROUND microsuck software, you have rocks in your head. Any more stupid fucking question you need answered?
They are actively collaborating on this.
Says who? If you think for one second Apple are going to change a whole operating system to suit microsuck software, you have rocks in your head too. Funny how a very quick update for office 2011 fixed issues promptly. What part of the collaboration did Apple have with that?
Is this stupid moron week here or something, coz this place is teeming with em. You should get a room with the other stupid moron, you never know, between the two of you, you might get half a brain.
Change logs don’t lie :-) Apple knows that the vast majority of large companies still use office on the Mac.
Care to quote the change log that states anything of the sort? Seriously, you believe your own rubbish? Apple specifically stated that developers, namely Microsoft, focus on issues relating to office 2016. In Apples own word, Microsoft, get your act together.
Please explain to us why it’s Apples responsibility to fix a bug in Microsoft software when Microsoft have had access to El Capitan betas since July? Is that answer in the “change Logs too?”
Still waiting on the change log quote that shows Apple changed El Capitan code to suit MS office. You won’t find it. So full of shit you are.
I call it El Crappytan! F’d up my Apple Mail, had to delete and reinstall all my mail accounts, Lost the widget window. Had to do the Option/Command key restore thingy to get my Photos back. Had to restart 3 – 4 times to get my screen to refresh as Safari was all jumbled up.
It’s turning into Apple-PC crap!
My USB3 Lexar card reader just stopped working since the update to El Capitan. Hopefully 10.11.1 will solve the problem.
They need to fix the dang wifi problem. It’s getting on my freakn nerves. Every 5 websites it just drops my fkn wifi. I’m MORE than aggravated. I go to the diagnostics and it says it’s working and it’s NOT. it’s not on my end as all my other 10 devices in the house work just fine except for this 2015 Mac with El Capitan. Gr.
