Apple Watches are a step closer to hitting our wrists.
Some who preordered watches earlier this month took to Twitter Monday to excitedly report that their order statuses changed from “Processing Items” to “Preparing for Shipment.”
Depending on how quickly you got online in the early hours of April 10, you could be in the first wave of Apple Watches scheduled to arrive on doorsteps in the United States between Friday and May 8.

Apple Watches recently began arriving in U.S. distribution centers from China to begin shipping by FedEx or UPS, reported MacRumors. During the first day of the watch preview in Apple Stores, many people reported their preordered watches would not arrive until June or July because initial runs of certain styles sold out quickly.
The projected shipment date for watches began to change within the opening minutes of preorders because of heavy volume.
The demand for the watch has forced Apple to continue taking orders online only. Walk-in purchases at Apple Stores aren’t likely to begin until June.

Mine said preparing for shipment but then went back to processing!! >.<
Mines still processing and I ordered it at 3:01 a.m :( I don’t get it!!! Ughhh
In the UK, ordered a stainless steel watch, ordered at 8:01 and delivery time hadn’t changed by the time I finished my order and went back to see delivery times. Hoping for a 24th delivery date but still no update to preparing for shipment.
‘Preparing for Shipment’ here in Australia!
Apple doesn’t have the supply of Apple Watches to ship to paying customers. They only have enough to give out to knuckle-headed celebs, friends of Apple Execs and now Dev’s. I guess the consumer now knows where they stand in Apple’s launch plans.
My order has been preparing for shipment going on 3 days know. Unless they are hand carrying it to me, I find it hard to believe it’s going to be here on Friday. Kinda shady IMO and makes me believe they aren’t ready for this at all. And I really don’t care for the only shipping option of Standard Shipping. Great way to delay shipments even more while they get caught up…
