Nomad Goods’ rugged Stratos band for Apple Watch just got a glow-up — literally. The new limited-edition Icy Blue Glow version of the titanium and fluoroelastomer strap casts an eerie glow on the wearer’s wrist.
The band “adds a little fun to your look, glowing electric blue in the dark and staying clean and minimal in daylight,” Nomad wrote Tuesday on X. “Built with titanium and FKM for durability and comfort, it’s proof that performance and fun can happen at the same time.”
While Cult of Mac hasn’t tested the band, the promo shots make it look wildly futuristic, like something you’d spot on the wrist of a rugged adventurer in a sci-fi flick.

Customizing your look with a distinctive Apple Watch band is one of the great joys of wearing the smartwatch. You can go from ritzy tuxedo to rugged individualist simply by swapping out your strap. And with Nomad’s new Icy Blue Glow Stratos band, you wouldn’t look out of place clubbing the night away or venturing into the sort of futuristic hellscape seen in Blade Runner or Fallout.
Like other Stratos bands, the Icy Blue Glow model consists of rounded titanium links, backed by a flexible piece of FKM, a type of fluoroelastomer, aka fluorine rubber or fluoro-rubber. According to Wikipedia, “FKM is an abbreviation of Fluorkautschukmaterial (i.e. fluorine rubber material).”
Nomad says the Stratos band is “water-resistant, adventure-ready, and built for all-day comfort.”
I say it looks pretty sick and ready for all-day and, more importantly, all-night escapades.
It’s also a limited-edition model, so if you like your Apple Watch bands with a certain special glow, you might want to jump on this one sooner rather than later.

Nomad’s Icy Blue Glow Stratos band retails for $189 and comes with either black or natural titanium hardware. Designed for Apple Watch Ultra (all models), it also fits other hardware (49 mm, 46 mm, 45 mm, 44 mm and 42 mm sizes of Apple Watch Series 1 through 11 and Apple Watch SE).
