Apple will expand its retail footprint in India and open new stores in the country this year. It will also open its fifth retail store in the United Arab Emirates before the end of 2025.
The company recently launched its online store in Saudi Arabia, marking a major expansion of its presence in the Middle East.
Apple continues expanding its retail presence
Apple increased its retail presence aggressively in China before COVID. This was led by a surge in iPhone and Mac demand. Post-pandemic, India has emerged as a vital market for Apple, both from a manufacturing and demand viewpoint.
So, besides ramping up iPhone production, Apple is also expanding its retail footprint in India. The company opened two retail Apple stores in the country in 2023, a high-profile event attended by several top Apple executives.
Now, the company is gearing up to “open new stores in the UAE and India later this year,” revealed Tim Cook during Apple’s Q2 earnings calls. It’s keeping the location of its third Indian store under wraps, though.
India to get its third Apple store soon
A previous report suggested Apple’s fourth Indian store could open in the DLF Promenade Mall in New Delhi in 2026.
So, Apple’s third store in India could open in Bengaluru, Mumbai, or Pune. The company will likely aim to launch it ahead of the upcoming festive season to boost footfall and attract maximum media attention. Apple’s first two retail stores in India are a smash hit. The company’s direct retail expansion in the country will only boost its sales further.
As for the UAE, Apple previously confirmed it will open a new store in the city of Al Ain. The company currently has two retail stores in Dubai and two in Abu Dhabi.
