Not even Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus support super-sharp 4K video recording out of the box, but they do have the necessary hardware to support it. Vizzywig 4K, a new iOS app that was just approved by Apple, brings this functionality to the iPhone 5s — but it costs a whopping $999.99.
That’s right — almost $1,000 for an iPhone app. It does claim to be the world’s first 4K video app for iPhone, however, and we certainly couldn’t find a cheaper alternative in the App Store. So, let’s take a look at what you get for your cash.
In addition to the ability to record 4K video (3840×2160) at 24 frames-per-second, Vizzywig 4K also lets you edit your clips, add transitions, titles, and scrolling credits; and mix in some background music. Users can also upload their videos directly to YouTube, or save them locally and share them by other means.
Vizzywig 4K requires iOS 7 — it doesn’t yet support iOS 8 — and you must have an iPhone 5s with at least 32GB of storage to use it. If you have $1,000 to drop on an iOS app and you really, really need 4K recording on your iPhone, you can download Vizzywig 4K via the App Store link below.
Alternatively, you can take that $1,000 and invest in a proper 4K camera that’s likely to produce much greater results.

I’d expect Apple to pull this ripoff soon.
I find it hard to believe that ANY app is worth 1K. I’d but a real camera.
The app UltrakamPRO supports 4k videos.
Again, it doesn’t record in true 4K, it records in 2K or 3K and uploads “4K Quality” videos to YouTube, which I find quite misleading in my opinion.
MoviePro is a few bucks and can record 4K =). That’s the app that I use.
Link?
Seriously? Stop being lazy and search for it.
Just looked it up and it says it can’t record in 4K but rather in 3K.
3072×1728 = 5,308,416 for this app. 4K UHD is 3840×2160 = 8,294,400 pixels. So ya this app is about 3 million pixels short of 4K.
I need a help to fund me this app http://www.gofundme.com/ekqdvw
Anyone who pays for this is an idiot.
Can someone test it for us
I got Free on Cydia
Seems like a good way to get a lot of media attention before dropping the price to the actually intended $2.99.
isn’t there a video to show how well the app works
