Moviedo: A Simple Way To Remember All The Movies You Want To Watch

By

I keep a movie to-watch list, a plain text list somewhere in my Dropbox. And as you may have guessed, I never read it. What I probably need is an app like Moviedo, a to-do list for movies that runs on your iPhone.

Moviedo is a database app for movies. You can make as many different lists as you like, and you find from Rotten Tomatoes and iTunes. To add a movie to your own lists, just swipe it from the results page. To delete or mark seen, swipe int the other direction.

There’s also a feed of new movies on the front page, so you can use this app to browse and discover new films, and you can read reviews, watch trailers and even get alerts when a movie is released. Moviedo also supports background updating if you want it.

I think it’s pretty neat, although I’d love to have an iPad version. I’m far more likely to be browsing and find new movies on my iPad than my iPhone. Still, the app works pixel-doubled and has iCloud sync, so it will at least work.

And did I mention that it’s free?

Why not just use IMDB? It’s the de facto database for movies, tv shows, and more. Just browse to the movie title and add to your watch list. Easy. It has an iPad version, and it’s free too…
