The iPhone SE 4 is right around the corner, and a new video supposedly showing off the low-cost handset reveals what it’ll look like from every angle.
If this leaked video turns out to be accurate, then the recent rumor that the display in Apple’s next budget handset will sport a Dynamic Island isn’t correct. And that’s just one of many details shown.
Expect iPhone SE 4 in the coming weeks
According to numerous leaks and rumors, the iPhone SE 4 is in for a significant redesign. Most notably, the Home button from its predecessors is gone to make room for a much larger screen. The handset is supposedly based on the iPhone 14.
It won’t be an exact copy, of course. Apple’s low-cost model is expected to keep its single rear-facing camera, though this is supposed to make the jump from 12MP to 48MP.
To see how this might play out, watch a video leaked to tipster Majin Bu:

Looking closely reveals that the device in the video has a screen notch, despite rumors that the iPhone SE 4 includes a Dynamic Island instead. When asked about this, Majin Bu responded, “From what I know there is a project with the Dynamic Island as I reported some time ago, but it seems that in the end the version with notch will come out.”
The video also shows a device with an Action button in place of the old mute switch. And it includes a USB-C port — a sure bet after the EU forced Apple to drop its proprietary Lightning port.
While Majin Bu was the first to reveal the iPad Stage Manager, they’ve also had some misses, like being taken in by a fake iPhone 16 event invite.
Possible internal changes
A major change supposedly coming to the iPhone SE 4, but one that won’t show up in a leaked video of the exterior is an upgraded processor. The goal is supposedly to enable the handset to run Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI tools that tweak users’ grammar and images and can generate cutesy pictures based on user prompts. That will require at least an Apple A17 Pro processor and 8GB of RAM. An unconfirmed report says the device will run on an A18 chip.
As for price, there’s been no word yet, other than the fourth-generation SE is not likely to come in a lot higher than the current $429 — it is Apple’s budget handset, after all.
Expect the iPhone SE 4 to launch in the coming weeks. Possibly in February, but the wait might be a bit longer. It may well debut alongside the M4 MacBook Air, M3 iPad Air and iPad 11.
