Apple’s new iPhone SE will arrive “next week” and not this week as previously rumored. The company will make a “smaller announcement” on Friday, February 14th.

The Cupertino giant will apparently also unveil the M4 MacBook Air “within weeks.”

iPhone SE 4 to launch ‘next week’

All rumors suggest Apple is just days away from launching the iPhone SE 4. A Bloomberg report from February 7th stated that the device could go official next week. But now, Gurman says the launch of the budget iPhone is “still imminent” and happen “by next week,” i.e., the week beginning February 16th.

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 will sport an iPhone 14-like design. It will purportedly ditch the physical Home button in favor of Face ID. Inside will be Apple’s A18 SoC, ensuring Apple Intelligence support.

Another highlight of the fourth-generation iPhone SE would be its 5G modem. It will be Apple’s first device to use its in-house 5G baseband. It won’t be as good as Qualcomm’s offering and lack support for mmWave 5G.

The design upgrades and faster chip could come at a cost, with the iPhone SE 4 possibly carrying a $499 price tag.

Before the budget iPhone, Apple will make a smaller announcement on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. It will be seemingly related to Vision Pro, as representations from this division are reaching out to the press. It’s unclear what the Vision Pro-related announcement would be about. It could be about support for third-party controllers or new media content.

M4 MacBook Air launch is also happening soon

Stocks for M3 MacBook Air and 2024 iPad Air are also running low at Apple stores. Gurman says Apple will unveil the M4-powered MacBook Air lineup within the next few weeks. There’s no exact release timeframe, but the laptops should go official by mid-March. Their launch could coincide with the release of macOS Sequoia 15.4.
