If you’re looking for the next super-addictive iOS hit, you may have found it in JoyJoy, which arrives in the App Store tomorrow, priced $1.99.
The game, which comes from developers RadanGames, was actually released on Xbox Live Indie Games a few years ago, but this mobile version has been totally revamped. It’s an above-view arcade shooter in which you see off wave after wave of assailants using a wide range of weaponry.
According to RadianGames, JoyJoy is a “colorful and challenging twin-stick shooter with lots of upgrades, weapons, difficulty levels, and explosions.” Much like other RadanGames titles, JoyJoy will feature virtual dual-stick controls, although there will also be gamepad controls for those who use iOS 7 MFi controllers.
It all looks great fun, and amazingly hypnotic in all its pastel color glory.
Oh yes, and apparently it’s in-app purchase free, which scores all kinds of points right there.
