Whenever I share a screenshot of my jailbroken iPhone the number one question I’m always asked is, “How did you get rid of your carrier name like that??” The answer is actually a very simple one, as there are a host of Cydia tweaks that will let you hide your iPhone’s carrier name and other status bar elements.
If you’re itching to clean up your own status bar, here’s what you need.

The simplest way to hide your carrier name would be installing a free tweak called “CleanStatus.” Search for it in Cydia, install, then head over to the Settings app and hide your carrier info. I told you about the ultimate customizing tweak for iOS 5, Springtomize, in my roundup for the iPhone 4S. Springtomize will also let you hide your carrier name, but it costs a couple bucks. Pick your poison.

Won’t help me tell my 2 white iPhone 4S’s apart…(AT&T, Verizon)
Springtomize 2 can do this and much, much more. You can also customize it to say anything you want..
look for a cracked version of springtomize in the insanelyi repo in Cydia
this should really be one of the first things a new jailbreaker downloads
I hope your iDevice explodes in your hands one day, causing you to get amputations.
looks like a brighter version of this
how is this a top question you get asked? this is one of the most basic things you can do jailbroken…

Now that’s mean. Who would wish such a thing?
Does anybody know how to hide the carrier network (3G, LTE, etc.)?? Springtomize 2 has an option to hide data network but does not work. It only removes the carrier name. Verizon iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1. Thanks!!
