High-Flying Shoe Designer Loves iPhone-Controlled Helicopter Toy

By

Christian Louboutin, whose signature red-soled stilettos shod Carrie Bradshaw in Sex in the City, is a big fan of an iPhone-controlled toy.*

In one of those evergreen profiles the New York Times runs where a notable talks about their uber-cool gadgets (for Louboutin it’s the iPhone toy), cinematic obsessions (Bollywood) and imbibing habits (bourbon sour) he had this to say about what he’s currently “piloting:”

My business partner gave me a drone, a small helicopter you pilot with an iPhone and also it has a camera so you can see what it sees on the iPhone. Great fun. I fly it outside in Portugal. It’s wonderful to oversee gardens. It costs $300 from the company Parrot. Great gift, by the way.

Cool, eh?

*Yeah, here at Cult of Mac, we look for the Apple in every random story we read. (Cherchez la pomme?)
