The design of the iPhone 7 is awfully disappointing to Apple fans who were hoping for a major change this year, but there’s still a way to get all of the new device’s features into a totally different form factor.
All it takes is a giant saw and an industrial sanding belt and you’ll be on your way to getting the sleek straight edge frame of the iPhone 4. YouTuber PeripateticPandas created a new video showing the full process that will give you the most unique looking iPhone 7 in the world.

But it looks awful?
Not to mention that it violates the warranty.

Structurally weaker, lost the anodized finish & the finish is just awful! What a waste of a nice new phone, sorry.
Now if he had access to a C&C machine to recreate the case out of some other metal or even as a hybrid wood case! Then I would have enjoyed seeing it.
“The design of the iPhone 7 is awfully disappointing to Apple fans…”
Buster: You continue to insult and force your own limited viewpoint on the rest of us that the iPhone 7’s design is “disappointing”. It isn’t to me, and I don’t know a single other person who thinks so either. Apple refines designs over the years. It doesn’t chase after continual exterior changes like car manufacturers or Samsung phones that are simply bells and whistles. Change for change’s sake is a ridiculous design credo. Cutting up an iPhone 7 so it resembles an iPhone 5 seems like the antithesis of progress, and it destroys the carefully engineered strength of the iPhone 7 to boot. Worst of all, the final product looks terrible and amateurishly done, not polished and professional as is Apple’s signature style.
You start your comment saying that someone’s opinion shouldn’t be generalized, then end your comment with “the [modified] final product looks terrible and amateurishly done.”
Maybe we can just accept that people have different preferences, and people may like both designs?
never said the iPhone 7 is disappointing. Also, the video is obviously tongue in cheek. I forget some apple fanboys just don’t get that though.
Why so serious? I’m among those who find the current round case design disappointing compared to the slab sided 4 & 5’s both aesthetically and ergonomically. If you don’t, more power to you. I’m having a hard time seeing why you seem so butthurt (‘insult and force your own limited view’ sounds butthurt) that someone someplace feels differently. This isn’t a recommendation for anyone to saw up their iPhone. I’m pretty sure the guy who uploaded the hack didn’t do it because of his deadly serious qualms about the rounded sides. It was a joke, nothin more than content and page hits because everyone is hustling and hustling is good for America. It happens every time a new device is released, especially Apple. It’s not, in my opinion, cause for anyone’s ruined day.
Relax?
Couldn’t even at least polish the finish? I’m glad the disappointed owner is now happy though.
i’d pay for someone to do this to my iphone.. Would be great conversation piece.
This guy probably fashions his own lady-holes because he’s obviously never been laid by a living, consenting female.
Wow, you are tough.
