Apple added two new channels to the Apple TV today with FYI from the A&E network and Feeln being both being added to the line up.
The FYI channel (formerly known as The Biography Channel) brings a mix of lifestyle programming that features DYI, cooking, home improvement, and fashion shows, while Hallmark’s Feeln channel adds a new family friendly movie streaming service to the Apple set-top box.

Feeln’s subscription service offers subscribers family-friendly films, movies, and short-films. Some of the featured movies include Annie, Sleepless in Seattle, Iron Giant, Hook, The Karate Kid, and hundreds of others – though it’s not as extensive a collection as Netflix.
Hallmark’s Feeln service comes with a one week trial, but subscriptions cost $4.99 a month, or $47.99 per year. FYI’s content is free as long as you authenticate through one of A&E’s cable partners

I thought the idea of this was to cut the cable cord??? seems like a bunch of channels I dont care about … just like cable ???
With one exception … you can hide the channels you don’t care about … and … if you don’t subscribe to the specific channels … you aren’t unwillingly underwriting their existence.
With cable … you are paying for EVERYTHING.
Hmm, until I read the article, I was kind of assuming Feeln was an _adult_ channel …
ATV need to really step up, and embrace Catchup TV services along with the likes of Netflix. Its fallen so far behind now, its like the forgotten child.
