Star Wars looks like it’s in good hands. The first teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming The Force Awakens has been released, and it’s sure to make your jaw drop.

What’s that random guy dressed as a stormtrooper doing in the desert? Who is that mysterious woman on the flying contraption? And WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT WEIRD RED LIGHTSABER OMG?!?

The film features John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, who will join old-school Star Wars stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.

The just-released Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer can be seen in 30 theaters across North America starting today, according to Walt Disney Studios, and will blast into theaters around the world next month.

Filming on the highly anticipated Episode VII of the sci-fi series wrapped this month, but production is still a long way from being done. December 2015 can’t come soon enough.

Why don’t you just run stories about McDonalds, at least they have a product called a Mac. FFS I spend more time on MacRumors these days, at least they run Apple stories

Jesus Christ guys it’s 30 seconds, it’s just a teaser, it’s the very first one, it’s a year away, and production isn’t even done yet. He doesn’t want to show much… At all. I think it was great.

That lightsaber would have me think the one who holds it is of the Dark Side and is Christian. This will be interesting.
