If you’re looking to unwind this fine Sunday by sampling the latest App Store delectables for your iPhone or iPad, look no further: Cult of Mac has your hookup!
Whether you’re seeking a fun party game, a great minimalist puzzler, or Apple’s new video and photo-sharing Clips app, we’ve got what you’re searching for.
Check out our picks below. You won’t be disappointed.
Hot Hands
The latest app from Ellen DeGeneres (or, rather, a team of anonymous developers working for Ellen), Hot Hands follows on from her smash hit Heads Up!.
Once again based on a segment from her TV show, Hot Hands flashes up images of celebrities, and then asks players to say their name as quickly as possible, before pressing a button to confirm their choice. This is made possible using some pretty cool voice recognition tech, so you’ll need to say the name clearly in order for it to count.
Don’t worry if you want to play this on the subway to work, either, as there are also other modes that allow you to type celebrity initials, or choose from multiple choice — if the idea of yelling out “Ryan Gosling!” in public doesn’t appeal to you.
No, this game isn’t one for endless depth, but it’s a fun party game — and the presence of unlockable categories extends its shelf life.

Cuzzle
An isometric puzzle game, Cuzzle is heavily inspired by Sokoban, the 1981 transport puzzle game in which the player has to push crates around a warehouse to get them into different locations.
Against a gorgeous minimalist backdrop, your goal here is to get all the white blocks in position to unlock a portal. There are 90 levels in all, with four unique stages that each introduce a new gameplay mechanic.
With soothing music and simple swipe-based controls, combined with just the right amount of difficulty, this is a great game for whiling away a half-hour here and there.
