    Let’s not forget that Apple came out with the iPad 3 in the spring and came out with the iPad 4 six months later.

      But the iPad 4 was nothing more than the iPad 3 with a Lightning Connector. The next time they did that – iPad Mini 2 to 3 – they still waited a full year before releasing it. I think the main reason for the iPad 4 was to get the iPad on an October release schedule.

        Wrong. The iPad 4 also has twice the RAM and a more powerful CPU and GPU compared to the iPad 3.
