You can now connect ChatGPT to your iCloud Mail and calendar to read and send emails, create calendar events and more.
This should make managing your emails and schedule easier, especially if you heavily rely on ChatGPT for tasks. It also means you can handle more of these tasks without switching between apps.
ChatGPT can now read your iCloud Mail and calendar events
ChatGPT can already integrate with your Google or Microsoft account to read and manage your emails and calendar. Now, OpenAI is rolling out a similar integration for iCloud Mail and calendar.
Mail and Calendar are available as separate plugins, so you must connect each service individually. Both also include contact lookup, allowing ChatGPT to find saved contact details. However, this launch does not include standalone Contacts or Reminders plugins.
Much requested, and now yours to connect: iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins are available in ChatGPT.
Ask ChatGPT to find that email, catch up on your inbox, check what’s next, or update a calendar event. Phew.

If you heavily rely on ChatGPT for everyday tasks or drafting emails, this will save you a lot of time and effort. After enabling the integration, you can directly ask ChatGPT to draft emails in your iCloud Mail account or create relevant calendar events.
ChatGPT can even provide a summary of unread emails in your iCloud inbox every morning, sorting them by priority and providing suggested responses for each.
Enable the iCloud Mail or Calendar plugin in the ChatGPT app
To get started, open ChatGPT’s Settings > Plugins, find iCloud Mail or iCloud Calendar, and follow the connection prompts.
You’ll need an Apple app-specific password to connect either service, rather than your regular Apple Account password. For Mail, enter your iCloud email address ending in @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com.
For Calendar, use your primary Apple Account email address, which may differ. Once connected, ChatGPT may ask for approval before accessing information or completing an action, depending on your permission settings.
The integrations are rolling out globally to all ChatGPT plans, including the free tier.
