Beats launched Powerbeats Fit earbuds on Tuesday, bringing a new design to the company’s sports-oriented audio devices. The new earbuds are the successors to the popular Beats Fit Pro earbuds.
The redesigned model brings enhanced comfort, improved durability and a more compact design while maintaining its predecessor’s $199.99 price point, Beats said.
“Reintroducing Beats Fit Pro as Powerbeats Fit — alongside Powerbeats Pro 2 — unifies our lineup under a name synonymous with athletic performance and gives customers a clearer choice between two distinct, fitness-first form factors,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Music, Sports and Beats. “Powerbeats Fit combines the best of Beats Fit Pro with next-level comfort, durability, and portability — making it a worthy addition to the Powerbeats family.”

The top improvement in Powerbeats Fit, initially promoted by Apple through a teaser video, is the redesigned wingtip. Beats said it’s 20% more flexible than the previous generation. According to the company, this enhanced flexibility provides the same secure fit as Powerbeats Pro 2’s earhook design while being comfortable enough for all-day wear, not just during workouts.
The Powerbeats Fit earbuds come with four ear tip sizes — extra small, small, medium and large — up from three sizes in the previous Beats Fit Pro, ensuring a better fit for more ear shapes and sizes.
Both the earbuds and charging case feature IPX4 water and sweat resistance, making them suitable for intense workouts in various weather conditions. Beats redesigned the charging case to make it 17% smaller than the Beats Fit Pro case. That improves portability while adding moisture protection that wasn’t present in the previous generation.
Premium audio features and Apple integration
Powerbeats Fit earbuds retain all the premium audio features that made Beats Fit Pro popular among fitness enthusiasts and everyday users alike. The new earbuds feature a custom acoustic platform with proprietary drivers that deliver balanced sound across the full audio spectrum. Active noise cancellation effectively blocks external noise when you need focus, while Transparency mode keeps you connected to your surroundings during outdoor activities.
The dual beam-forming microphones, combined with an internal processor, ensure clear call quality by reducing external noise like wind.
As with previous Beats earbuds, they borrow many features from Apple’s popular AirPods lineup. Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking creates an immersive experience for music, movies and gaming. And Adaptive EQ automatically tailors the sound based on each earbud’s individual fit and seal in your ear.

Powered by Apple’s H1 chip, Powerbeats Fit offer seamless integration for iOS users, including automatic switching between devices, Audio Sharing, hands-free Hey Siri, and Find My support. Android users aren’t left out, with the Beats app providing one-touch pairing, customizable controls, battery status, Locate My Beats and a Fit Test feature to help find the ideal ear tip size.
Physical on-device controls allow users to manage music playback, adjust volume, switch listening modes, handle calls and activate voice assistants without reaching for their phones.

Powerbeats Fit earbuds deliver up to seven hours of playback per charge with Active Noise Cancelling on (up to 30 hours total with the charging case). Fast Fuel charging provides up to an hour of playback from just a five-minute charge, perfect for quick top-ups before workouts.
Powerbeats Fit are available to order now in four colors: jet black, gravel gray, spark orange and power pink. They hit retail shelves Thursday.
