August, the smart-home accessories manufacturer out of San Francisco, unveiled its latest vision for the connected home today by expanding its product lineup to include a new Doorbell Cam that can automatically detect when visitors arrive at your door, as well as a new Smart Keypad for people who don’t have a smartphone to unlock your door.
The two new devices are accompanied by a second-generation August Smartlock that maintains the same industrial design that made the first model popular, but adds a new Broadcom chip and comes with voice support for iOS users.

The best part about the new August Smart Lock and other accessories is that they’re HomeKit enabled, allowing users to control the lock with Siri. With iOS 9’s new ‘Hey Siri’ feature, lazy bastards like me won’t have to get up, or even pick up a phone, to unlock the front door for guests.
The new devices also include August Access which is in its beta phase. The service allows owners to give selected partners access to your home for services like home repair, delivery, dog care and more. August Access partners supporting the launch include Sears, Postmates, Handy, Fetch, Shyp, BloomNation, Rinse, HelloAlred and more.
All three new devices went on sale today with the Smart Lock and Doorbell Cam both costing $199, while the Smart Keypad is priced at $79.
