Sometimes an inventor comes up with something so mold-breaking, so truly original and – in hindsight – obvious that the world changes just a little bit. Today we bring news of such an Earth-shaking discovery. It’s called the iSpoon, and considering that it’s made for cooking, there’s a delicious irony in the fact that it mixes together two ingredients to make the perfect blend. It’s a synergistic, spoon-shaped supper, if you will.
The iSpoon melds an ordinary wooden spoon with an iPad stylus. Prop up your iPad next to the stove and successively stir sauces and navigate notes: no need to touch the screen with sticky fingers.
Better still, this thing costs just $7, which is more than a spoon (although not more than the €4 hand-carved artisanal boxwood spoons I use to make my nightly cocoa), but far less than a regular stylus.
Then again, you are in the kitchen, so you might just choose to grab a sausage from the refrigerator and use that to touch your tablet.
