The official release of Yosemite is nearly here, as Apple has just seeded the Gold Master of OS X 10.10 to developers.
OS X Yosemite GM Candidate 1.0 is now available in the Mac Dev Center or via the Mac App Store to members of Apple’s developer program. The new GM is accompanied by a new Xcode 6.1 GM seed and OS X Server 4.0 Developer Preview.
Apple also released a beta version of Yosemite to the public that received its 4th preview today, though it appears that some of the public beta testers aren’t seeing the available update quite yet.
Yosemite brings a revamped UI to OS X along with a host of new features aimed at making your iPhone and Mac work smarter together. No official word from Apple on what’s inside the Yosemite GM but we’ll let you know what we find as soon as its installed.

Just wondering will there be a list of changes or a video of the GM? Thanks
There is a Public Beta out now too
Crappy Helvetica fonts and tiny font sizes throughout. A continuation of the pale grey text on white backgrounds. If you are over 45, don’t bother.
stfu!
Adjust your display resolution. Not that hard.
No, if I do that, everything goes soft focus, crappy. Helvetica Neu is terrible at small sizes on displays. I hate Windows, but they let you adjust the font and sizes for almost every aspect of the OS.

Change your display contrast or/and resolution, it takes about 5 minutes.
Those do not help. Contrast changes only make image look screwed up (I use a hardware colour calibration system for my work). Changing resolution makes things blurry and I lose desktop space. The correct solution is for Apple to care about those of us over 45.
Please realize that you are using a beta system. It may not cater to those with special needs. If the beta system does not satisfy your needs, I would recommend using Maverics until the public release of Yosemite is out.
“My needs” ? Am I the only one over 40 here? I hear complaints every single day about tiny fonts and hard-to-read text. Just pissing off 10-20% of your market doesn’t sound smart to me. Oh, and the release will not fix any of these issues.
All of this is down to Jonny Ive’s broken ego.
