The impending fall release of OS X Yosemite has been on the minds of most developers since WWDC, but Apple is continuing to make improvements to OS X 10.9 Mavericks with the release of the first OS X 10.9.5 beta that’s slim on new features, but big on bug fixes.
Apple seeded OS X 10.9.5 beta 1 build 13F7 to developers this afternoon, coming over a month since the last major Mavericks update was released in June.
The release notes for OS X 10.9.5 beta 1 don’t contain any info regarding new features that may have been included with the number of bug fixes, but Apple has asked developers to focus on Safari, USB, Graphics, and USB Smart Cards.
Along with the new Mavericks beta, Apple also seeded new builds of Safari 6.0.6 and Safari 7.0.6 to developers. The OS X build and Safari builds can be found in the Mac Dev Center, or via the Mac App Store.
