Apple’s retail footprint in South Florida expanded Friday with the opening of its newest location, Apple Miami Worldcenter. A big opening-day crowd — including Apple execs Deirdre O’Brien and Eddy Cue — swamped the sleek new store, Apple’s 10th retail location in Miami.
“Miami is a city with a history, culture and life all its own, and we are thrilled to capture that energy with Apple Miami Worldcenter in downtown Miami,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of retail and people, in a press release.
Apple Miami Worldcenter showcases the company’s commitment to sustainability, accessibility and community engagement in the heart of downtown. And it’s the city’s first store with a dedicated Apple Pickup area.

The large new Apple Store follows other glitzy Miami openings like this and this. Apple Miami Worldcenter features an innovative design that incorporates regionally sourced mass timber and low-carbon materials. That significantly reduced its construction’s environmental impact, Apple said. L
Like all Apple facilities, the store operates on 100% renewable energy and maintains carbon-neutral operations. The location’s biophilic design elements include grounds and a roof adorned with plants and flora that pay homage to Miami’s rich Latin American heritage.
The store aims to create an inclusive environment where customers can explore the latest Apple products, like iPhone 16 and Vision Pro, while receiving personalized support and participating in educational programs, Apple noted.
Prominent accessibility features

The store’s design makes accessibility features prominent, with varied table and seating heights accommodating diverse needs. The location offers enhanced navigation space for wheelchair users and includes portable hearing loops for customers with hearing aids.
The accessibility features extend to the store’s Today at Apple sessions, where an assistive listening loop ensures all participants can fully engage in the programming.

To commemorate its opening, Apple Miami Worldcenter will host special Today at Apple sessions highlighting the store’s environmental design features. The store will also partner with Influur for Made for Business community events. That will offer local entrepreneurs hands-on experience with Apple’s business tools across iPhone, iPad and Mac platforms.

It aims to create opportunities for learners of all ages.
Visitors to Apple Miami Worldcenter can explore the company’s latest products, including iPhone 16, new Mac models powered by the M4 chip, Apple Watch Series 10 and various AirPods options.
