Sure the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have an amazing camera with all sorts of improvements to make stunning use of in the pursuit of the perfect high-definition time-lapse or slow motion video.
But the video (below) is so stunning, so amazingly beautiful – there’s no way you’re going to be able to pull this off on your iPhone 6, no matter how amazing Apple’s latest gadget is.
The folks at Rustad Media have produced this utterly breathtaking time-lapse video in Norway, pulling in footage from an almost 10,000 mile trip across five months. They filmed across all of Norway’s 19 counties from the extreme south to the northeastern Russian border.
“The aim of this 5 minute short film is to show the variety of Norway,” write the filmmakers, “everything from the deep fjords in the Southwest, to the moon landscape in the North, the Aurora Borealis (Nothern Lights) and the settlements and cities around the country, both in summer and wintertime.”
The video includes amazingly scenic Norway locations, including Lofoten, Senja, Helgelandskysten, Geirangerfjorden, Nærøyfjorden and Preikestolen. The soundtrack is made by another Norwegian, composer Jogeir Daae Mæland.
Now I want to travel to Norway and use my slo-mo iPhone 6 camera to film.

And this is the world we live in! So beautiful!
It looks nothing like where I live in NYC where one can barely find a parking spot. It’s amazing there are still places on our planet that look so pristine. I hope those places remain that way for a long, long time and I’m happy those people can enjoy the fresh air and spectacular scenery.
Kind of makes you want to leave the cities and towns behind and live in the great outdoors away from everything.
So, unless I missed it somewhere, what sort of device was used to record it?
The photographer (Rastad Media) uses this setup to shoot his videos… clearly comparable to a phone for the chaps at cultofmac… *sarcastic*
how is this magically related to iphone 6 ?
The same video could have been produced with an iPhone 6 given the same amount of time. An odd headline.
I agree its an odd headline. Well Unless you’re click baiting then it makes perfect sense ….
And lets face click baiting is CoM’s bread and butter.
But I do a lot of time-lapse stuff and I would never use my iPhone because lets face it my iPhone can be out preformed as a camera by even a cheap point and shoot.
From his web site you can see seems to have used a Canon 7D
Johnny Ive is European? Norway is in Europe? Maybe? Buy that?
The author is dumb
Sure the new Hyundai Accent has brought out an amazing compact car with all sorts of improvements to make mediocre use of in the pursuit of the perfect low end budget car.
But the video (Rolls Royce Wraith) is so stunning, so amazingly beautiful – there’s no way you’re going to be able to pull this off in your Hyundai Accent.

I guess it’s “share a random time lapse day” so this works out pretty well for me. I shoot time lapse from time-to-time check out my Chicago lapse from a year ago ;) haha

you kidding right?
Great camera work or should I say great world 8-) I feel that, perhaps, some of the hyper lapse could have been replayed at a slower speed. To behold the wonder for longer! That’s if people have the time for such things…
My first attempts at a timelapse with a mix of slow motion. I hope to have some more footage to make a 3-5min video of chicago
