Fortnite’s latest content update is out right on schedule. This week’s release finally brings the much-anticipated Air Strike item fans have been waiting for — and it doesn’t disappoint.

The device looks like a largely inoffensive canister of smoke when you first pick it up. But throw it at an opponent and they’ll soon find themselves being bombarded by missiles from above.

This week’s Fortnite update is out with a brand new item that lets you heal teammates easier than ever before. The Chug Splash is a throwable that grants 20 health or shield to anyone within its splash radius.

The version 9.30 release also removes a number of weapons, including the popular Boom Bow. But Battle Royale players will be pleased to see that Epic Games has finally ditched the shotgun swap delay.

Netflix has confirmed plans to bring a new Stranger Things game to mobile.

Unlike its previous title, this one will be a location-based puzzle RPG that will take fans into the real world much like Pokémon Go. But you’ll have to wait until 2020 to get your hands on it.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to the first Stranger Things x Fortnite crossover.

Fortnite cheater qualifies for $30 million tournament

A Fortnite player recently banned for cheating has qualified for the game’s biggest tournament.

Damion “Xxif” Cook was slapped with a 14-day suspension in early May after Epic Games found him guilty of using friends to get easy eliminations in competitive matches.

The lenient punishment allowed Xxif and teammate Ronaldo to come back and secure World Cup qualification — and a minimum of $50,000 in prize money.
